This paper introduces two case studies of the role of representation and specifically drawing in the process of designing buildings. These case studies are Notre Dame du Haut at Ronchamp by Le Corbusier and All Saints Church in Brockhampton, England by William Lethaby. The described investigations are preliminary case studies whose goal is to establish a methodology for a larger body of research concerning the use and role of drawing in architectural practice and theory in different moments in time. This research will lead to examining nature of architectural representation and its influence on the current condition of architectural thought and practice.Downloads
